Alcoran vs. Juventus: preview
We have the predictions for the match between Alcoran and Juventus in the fourth round of the group stage of the 2026/27 Champions League.
In the fourth round, Juventus, driven by an inspiring win over their direct league rival, will try to maintain their success in the European competition against the goal‑scoring Alcoran.
Key moments
Alcoran
1. Alcoran does not stand out in the Eredivisie, but in Europe it continues to earn decent points
Last weekend, Alcoran missed the chance to close the gap with the leaders and lost 0:1 to Ajax in Amsterdam. Thus, in the last four meetings in all competitions, Alcoran’s players have secured only one victory, and the 0:2 defeat to Twente in the previous round marked their first home loss of the season. European results, however, are notably better than domestic ones: Alcoran has earned six points in three group‑stage matches, and the most convincing was the win over modest Ararat Armenia, with four unanswered goals.
2. Smith is still not fully ready; Ufkir could be an option in the starting lineup
Despite high expectations, Kees Smith, who has not played since September due to hamstring problems, was not included in the squad for the league match against Ajax, and his participation in the European fixture remains uncertain. Guter Guz, injured in the match against the Amsterdam residents, is also in doubt for the game against Juventus. Fortunately, Ayb Ufkir, who missed the league match due to yellow‑card accumulation, will be available to play on Thursday.
3. Alcoran has scored little in recent league matches, but is quite effective in the Champions League
In the league, Alcoran’s effectiveness has deteriorated in recent weeks: in four rounds, the team has scored only two goals (2:2 against Cambuur), and in three occasions they failed to score at all. On the other hand, in the last two group‑stage matches, Alcoran netted six goals: two in the match against Hapoel (2:1) and four against Ararat (4:0). However, both opponents cannot be considered teams with a reliable defense, unlike Juventus, although the Torinese are also not very safe in their own goal, giving Alcoran’s team a chance not to let them score.
Juventus
1. Juventus is unstable, but the win over Napoli last weekend should bring confidence
Juventus has had mixed results recently, but the 2:0 victory over Napoli in the last league round allowed them to distance themselves from their nearest competitor and could be a significant boost before the Champions League match. In the CL, Spalletti’s team has seven points out of nine possible: in the first round, Juventus demolished NEC (5:0), in the second beat Selt (2:1) and then drew with Rennes (2:2). Thus, in the European competition, the Torinese have not lost yet and occupy seventh place, with good chances of reaching the leaders’ group that has not lost yet.
2. McKenni has been added to Juventus’ squad, but Alaybegovich and Caballo have avoided serious injuries
With no new losses for Juventus and the squad already weakened by numerous injuries, the situation remains unresolved. Midfielder Weston McKenni suffered a proximal muscle injury after the match against Napoli and will probably miss the trip to Alcoran. As for the two players who ended the Sunday match early, the news is more positive: winger Karim Alaybegovich and full‑back Juan Caballo should be ready to play against Alcoran.
3. Juventus has decent away form, but in the Netherlands it is usually tricky
At home, Juventus seems even more convincing than on their own ground: in the last four home rounds, Spalletti’s team won only once (a draw and two defeats), and in the last four away matches, they won two, although they lost last week to Genoa (0:2). One of the wins was in the Champions League against Selt (2:1). Trips to the Netherlands, however, are usually difficult for Juventus: out of 12 matches, the Torinese won only three, drew four times and lost five.

Prediction
Alcoran vs Juventus 06.11.2026 00:00
Alcoran has secured only one victory in the last four matches in all competitions, and in the Eredivisie it has scored only two goals and failed to stand out on three occasions. In the Champions League, however, Leroi Ehteld’s team seems quite convincing: six points and six goals in the last two rounds.
Juventus, after the important win over Napoli, will try to continue their good performance in the Champions League, but the trip to Alcoran promises to be difficult. Spalletti’s team faces squad problems: McKenni will probably miss the match due to injury. However, the league win should give the Torinese confidence, and in the Champions League they have already earned seven points in three rounds. On the trip, Spalletti’s team also seems quite convincing, although historically matches in the Netherlands are tricky for them.
Alcoran can take advantage of Juventus’ imperfect defense and score, but the advantage still lies with Juventus.
Prediction: 1-2
