In the match against "Lokomotiv", Krasnodar’s central defense presented an unsatisfactory pairing of Zhubal – Mayson Rodriguez. The new Uruguayan did not impress and ceded his place at the start to Vitor Tormenta, who returns after a suspension. In the last round, the team’s main midfielder Douglas Augusto was absent due to injury and has not yet recovered; Kevin Lening will fill his position. Krasnodar still has a short bench: at Cherkizovo, Murad Musayev listed only 18 players. 3. Krasnodar’s character persists
The bulls’ recent performances have not impressed, but one of the signings after Murad Musayev’s return remains in the squad. Krasnodar is still capable of breaking tough matches. The team lost to "Akron" and survived at the end. The game against "Zenit" seemed desperate at 0:3, but they managed to reduce the defeat. In the last round, almost until the end, Krasnodar lost twice to "Lokomotiv" but managed a draw. In the match against Baltika, which relies on physicality and intensity, the southern side’s willpower could help them in a hard game.

1. "Baltika" has been stuck in the middle of the table but has not fallen
In the last season, Andrei Talalayev’s team started much more confidently, fighting with the table leaders. The gap between the leading group and the group of eight teams in the middle of the table, with chances of reaching the playoff zone, is huge: nine points. The Kaliningrad team occupies seventh place, not much different from last year’s final position, but the goals now are entirely different. In the league, "Baltika" has not won since August, when they crushed "Rodina" (3:0). There are no failures, but the loss of points, such as in the last home game against "Rostov" (0:0), seems unnecessary by last year’s standards.
2. "Baltika" plays with two strikers, Mendel returns after suspension
Captain Andrei Mendel missed the last round due to suspension and returns to the defensive zone. Recently, Andrei Talalayev slightly reorganised the defence: Sergey Varatynov lost the competition. He also changed the attack composition: Maxim Petrov was not in his best form and lost his place at the base, so Talalayev opted for two pure strikers: Brian Hill and Egor Golenkov. In this combination, Baltika’s football becomes even more vertical, but it still does not solve the effectiveness problems.
3. "Baltika" forces "Krasnodar" to fight constantly
All matches of the team since Baltika’s first return to the elite in 2023 have been tough. During that time, opponents played five matches, including friendlies. Four ended in draws, and only once did "Krasnodar" manage a hard 3:2 victory. In the last season, the southern side never beat the Baltics: in Kaliningrad the match ended 1:1, although "Baltika" had the advantage and entered twice in the goal frame, and at home the bulls managed a miraculous late draw after a precise shot by Zhubal (2:2).
