In a way, the sensational draw with «Milan» (1:1) is notable, but the defeats against «Monza» (1:2) and «Frosinone» (2:4). It is important, as «Sassuolo» earned only one point in a unclear situation, while failed in matches where they clearly expected more. The team still lacks consistency, but maintains its level.
2. There are losses in every line, but nothing critical
For the modest squad of «Sassuolo», small losses are critical, as the coach does not have many rotation options. The guest personnel situation is quite familiar. In the injury list is central defender Fede Leysen, and there are also problems with his positional colleague, Jay Idzes. The supporting midfielder Ismael Cone is missing, as is striker Daniel Boloka. In general, these players were not in Alberto Aquilani’s plans for the next match, as their return was not expected. The visitors have not won in three consecutive matches, and have suffered two defeats in matches where they expected more. The attack of Aquilani’s players is interesting and scores regularly, but the defense does not hold. For «Como» it is a good opportunity to extend the winning streak. The hosts won confidently in Serie A and the Champions League, and in the last three encounters, on average, scored three goals. In the next home battle, a similar productivity can be expected, even considering the non-ideal personnel situation. No big surprise is expected in such a match, «Como» is in good form and should support it with results, while «Sassuolo» will simply try not to suffer a clear failure in the score.
