Bayern Dortmund – Real Betis: Preview
We have the forecast for the encounter between Bayern Dortmund and Real Betis in the fourth round of the 2026/27 Champions League regular phase.
"Bayern" returns home after a successful containment of "Bayern" in Munich and now must face the brilliant "Real Betis", who have won all three matches of this CL.
Key points
Bayern Dortmund
1. "Bayern" has no problems and managed to beat "Bayern".
In the 14 matches of the new football year, the "black‑yellow" lost only to "Bayern" in the German Super Cup final (1:2) and to the dreaded "Bude‑Glimt" in Norway (0:1), although none of the results can be called a tragedy. Previously, the Dortmund side had fun in Munich against the great German hegemon, leaving with a point (2:2). Nico Kovac rightly praised his players, who managed to come back twice at the Allianz Arena. Could the "Betis" tremble?
2. Prates, Lerm, Jan and Constantelias will not play, Carcasas returned successfully, Gadu shows high level.
The new squad problems of "Bayern" did not materialise. Among the absentees are the newcomers: Kaun Prates and Hustin Lerm, veteran Emre Jan has not played since March due to a cruciate tear, and Ioannis Constantelias still has a long recovery process. None of the players contributed significantly to Dortmund’s solid start, so complaints can be set aside. In the match against "Bayern", Constantinos Carcasas pleasantly surprised, another new Greek returned after circulation problems and assisted Fabio Silva. Special mention goes to Kuaku Gadu (again a rookie), who brilliantly fit into Kovac’s ideas and the 19‑year‑old Frenchman does not lag behind in quality against teammates such as Nico Schlotterbeck and Waldemar Antonio.
3. "Bayern" scores constantly at home.
In each of the seven official home matches this season, the "black‑yellow" left the field with at least one goal. Kovac’s players played modestly only against "Bayern" and "Eintracht" (1:0), but in other cases they delighted and disappointed their opponents at least twice per game. The rivals, besides those already mentioned, do not shine with their great play, but consistently dealing with more challenging opponents is very useful in the long run.
Real Betis
1. "Betis" fights for everything and immediately.
In the 14 official matches of the new season, the "heliopolites" (just like "Bayern") only lost two games: the "Levante" in late August (2:5) and "Barcelona" (2:5), but to be fair, the current "Barça" only loses to special clubs. Currently, the "beticos" are in fourth place in La Liga and are only seven points behind the leader, and in the CL they have already beaten "Lille" (3:2), "Porto" (3:2) and "Feyenoord" (1:0) and remain one of the five teams with the maximum points. Expressive? Not much. Effective? Absolutely.
2. Hernández and Firpo are not ready, Parrott no longer scores, Isco and Barta save the position.
In the next match, striker Juan Camilo Hernández and left‑back Junior Firpo will not play. The Dominican returned with a national team injury, but the excellent player Fran Garcia and substitute Valentín Gomez in his position are more than enough. With the Colombian it is a bit more complicated: he was withdrawn in the match against "Barcelona" and will return in mid‑month, and his replacement, Troi Parrott, has been silent for six consecutive matches. Trust is needed in the recovered Isco and the surprising top scorer of the visitors, Marco Barta.
3. Betis’ attack needs a recharge.
The overall performance of "Betis" with 18 goals in 11 La Liga matches and seven goals in three CL matches raises no big doubts, however, the visitors’ attacking line is, to say it mildly, at rest. In 14 matches of the new season, none of the "heliopolites" has reached the five‑goal mark, and in the last three matches of the attacking trio Abd Elazizuli‑Antoni‑Isco‑Troi Parrott only recorded a single penalty goal by Isco and his own assist in the last round of the Spanish league with "Málaga" (2:1). It may not be enough to compete with the best defense in the Bundesliga.

Forecast
Bayern Dortmund vs Real Betis 05.11.2026 00:00
Thanks to a goal‑rich draw in Munich (2:2), "Bayern" managed to make their positions in the Bundesliga even more solid. The "black‑yellow" came back twice against "Bayern" and received deserved praise from Nico Kovac. The owners’ defence works consistently (especially at home), and the forward line is the best in the Bundesliga at the moment.
"Betis" also lost only two of the 14 matches in the new season, but lately they look quite flat. Most of the forwards have suffered some loss of form, and Juan Camilo Hernández will return in about two weeks. These problems did not prevent them from beating "Feyenoord" (1:0) and "Málaga" (2:1), but the next opponent is much stronger.
The owners, according to recent matches, look more attractive. They have no clearly weak spots, and the youth that joined the team in summer provides the necessary depth. "Betis" with a sleeping attack may not score anything.
Forecast: 2-0
